JT's Corner

Evan decided to toss his bike on the ground...:-)
No really he had a minor incident in the corner that JT made famous on this ride last year. I guess after talking with one of Evans friends we were not the first to fall off in this corner and it happens with some regularity. I was leading, we were going into the corner a bit hot and I braked hard, Evan followed suit but as he was leaned into the first 3rd of the corner he got off throttle and that loaded the front end of the bike causing the front tire to slide out from under him. His bike went about 50 feet or so and he went just shy of that. No major injuries to speak of, our gear is what protects us and it did it's job.

This is the corner in question, we are looking back from where Evan and the bike ended up. The marks on the road are from his bike.

Made a few holes in the gear but it saved his skin for sure. All he had for injuries was a quarter size burn on the knee and a dime sized burn on the shoulder. Nothing Bad. We were back up and riding in 30 minutes or so.

We made some repairs and inspected the bike, and determined it safe to ride after Evan took it down the street to make sure everything was working properly.

Zip Ties are our friends for sure...

Salvation Monday?

This was just a nice place to stop and relax.

In case you're still missing Bob Bresney's Free Will Astrology..

I got this from the Dude...Seems Fitting....

Me:
"The Only Three Questions That Count" is the title of a book by Ken Fisher. I'm stealing it to use as the theme of your horoscope. So your next assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to craft three essential questions that will guide your journey between now and the end of 2007. These queries should excite your natural curiosity about the life issues that matter most to you. They should be carefully and precisely formulated. And they should motivate you to keep your mind wide open and hungry as you hunt for more insight into your most bafflingly interesting mysteries.

Dude:
"There can be no transformation of darkness into light and of apathy into movement without emotion," wrote psychologist Carl Jung. That should be your motto in the coming week, Libra. Clear thinking and impeccable logic will not be sufficient to guide you to your next great adventure. You need the driving force of succulent emotion rising up in your solar plexus, the lush power of raw sensitivity piercing your heart. Feel as deep as you dare.
